Little White with some FORDIRELIFESAKE
Do you know about the label I’ve started? It’s called hopeandbass and we’re brand new. We plan on releasing unlimited dance music to help combat suicide and raise awareness for mental health issues. As most musicians know, mental health is a huge part of most of our lives. So when the idea came to me to help give back to others through our tunes and sets and ideas, I immediately thought to myself “it’s been right in front of me for over a decade, why didn’t I think of this sooner?” I hope you will join us as we start really piecing this idea together.
GENERAL INFO ABOUT HNB
We are a record label specializing in underground dance music. With releases and promotion we advocate for many different causes. As a label our main interest is mental health awareness and suicide prevention. The artists who release with us have the option to donate their proceeds to charities and organizations we have chosen or for ones they prefer instead. It’s no secret that musicians and fans of underground dance music are built from a different type of framework than others. It seems that the more creative and open people become, the more they become susceptable to social issues. With the music industry blueprint ever changing through independent artists, social media, and networking, artists are working 10x harder for 100x less the pay. With each release on Hope and Bass, the artist gets an equal portion, along with the label, and the charity of their choice. It makes more sense to do some good outside of making music that effects people.
Check this shit out. I’ve been working on it for the last year or so. Got so much left to do. There’s a huge attachment to this. I did it for the woman I love after she requested me to make it in honor of her late father. RIP Marty!
Gotta give the poor a better option than processed food. We’re all fat at the bottom. Trying to get rid of this shit so we can move up. The day Monsanto is gone the day the world will be such a better place. The corporations controlling our food sources and even the seeds are trying to sustain obese lifestyles so they can keep fattening up the offshore bank accounts they skip paying taxes on. Plenty of people blame the poor but most just want the help to get em out of a rut or a shitty time in their life. Or just help us get by when we can’t find work. I don’t want to rock the bridge card and free health care for life. But being a part of socialism in America via growing up on Military Bases it’s really easy to understand the government needs to work for us. Not the other way around. Plenty have my views twisted because they don’t see how much socialism is in their face every day. I’m thankful for every thing I have received from my pell grants to my health care to my bridge card. But I also completely minimalized all the things in my life. I realized my possessions were costing me more than I even cared about. I got rid of most of my stuff. I have clothes, and my music equipment. That’s it. I’m not saying it’s for everyone but it’s helped me improved my quality of life by leaps and bounds. I’m the first to admit that my friends who do more than me are better at it. I’ve never once said I deserve anything. But if I qualify for it, not going for it is the stupidest shit ever. I have a slew of health problems that need to get dealt with. I’ve quit smoking. Quit boozing almost all together. I don’t remember the last time I was drunk. I’ve slowly started to change my eating habits and am slowly getting back into exercising. Too many people assume its all crackheads on welfare. Even in an affluent town like Trenton it’s been impossible to find work. My degree doesn’t mean shit and I put myself into serious debt attaining it. Now that’s no reason for taxpayers to help me with my mistakes. But the amount that actually comes out is irrelevant compared to the astronomical amount being taking from people like you every day from those at the top. All the info is online about welfare fraud, also about the bull shit drug testing system for welfare that has failed everywhere every time it’s been voted in. Even in Michigan. It ends up costing the state hundreds of thousands of dollars to test everyone. The point is, there might be more at the bottom, but their effect on the middle class isn’t even something anyone should be concerned with anymore. It fails so hard in comparison to those at the top who have been stealing from all of us for decades. Those are the people who put us in this situation. But people get pissed because I said fuck it and am chasing my dreams and the government is helping me do that. Like, you hate that I had the balls to do that. And yet you stereotype the poor because you have money. That’s something I will never understand. It doesn’t mean entitlement. It just means you have money. That’s literally all it means. Somewhere along the line we let that get to us. We let that ruin us. So instead of doing everything for ourselves. We do it for companies. We do it for status. We stopped doing things for us and the ones we love. So fuck me for trying to do the one thing I love doing. Well, fuck you for doing what they want you to do. LIVE. For Fucks Sake LIVE.
